I also got W similar to T and Fingerprint work smooth on it. None of them work. Do you have the problem? I already tried the driver from Windows-Update, from Authentec Homepage and the original lenovo drivers.
W fingerprint work on Win7 RC. But, instead of choosing the default choice, which is “Search automatically for driver software”, chose gl0/gm45/gm47/gs45/pm45 lower of the two choices, which is “Browse my computer for driver software”.

I’m sorry, I should have stated in my original post that I have turned the fingerprint sensor off in the BIOS settings – I never use the darn thing, seems a bit ‘James Bond-ish’ to me. When the thing arrived nitel I took it out of the box, I discovered that it had all sorts of goodies on it that I really didn’t need – stuff like the Trusted Platform Module, the fingerprint reader, the switchable graphics, a touchpad on the palmrest, etc.
