DELL AUDIOMAX DRIVER
Apparently Windows 10 deleted that. So the problem, as you can see, is when I open the equalizer tab I’ve paid enough for this that I want to better sound but not at the cost of overheating. Thanks for this info, I’ll pass it on to our contacts at Dell. I went to adjust the equalizer, and noticed it was missing. I assume this is a problem with the upgrade to Windows 10, but I haven’t a clue what is going on or how to fix it. Hopefully installing the old audio drivers will solve it for you as well.

But I’m sure I fixed this before on the equalizer in Dell Audio?
In the end, I decided to just download and install the audio driver by itself. John, Audiomx you very much for your help. My computer is always downloading and installing updates. However, in Device Manager, there are two things listed:. When I go back to that video and hit play, the volume will be twice as loud as before and I have to reduce it quickly. So I turned it off and restarted iTunes and sure enough, my computer was quieter, went down in temp though its still high IMO 49CC, but as I write this message its at 57CC for some reason. Running speakers at a volume they aren’t supposed to. BUT, if I shut off audipmax preset the speakers do not distort however they sound god awful. So I guess all’s well that ends well.
Contacted Dell and they said that the problem is from Microsoft’s side as many drivers either haven’t been released yet or aren’t supported. I have to be fast with the volume button to avoid blasting my ear drums out. I have no idea how all these bits and pieces work together to manage sound on my computer or what affects what and how, but my experience is similar to other people in this thread: I thought everything was okay, but the same problems suddenly reappeared.
The volume is back to jumping way up whenever I go from one program to another. This thread is locked. I’ll be watching a movie on my computer with the volume set appropriately. The result was far more complex than I expected and pretty scary.

This is Doug again. Today realized that it was getting really warm when it shouldn’t have been.
I did a bit of research into this new problem, and in the end I decided I had nothing to lose by downloading the other updates, the BIOS and the Chipset updates. This site in other languages x.
Dell Audio equalizer doesn’t work…
The ‘Guide me’ on the Dell website told me all drivers were up to date. I went back to the Dell site and ran the Guide Me program again. Yet, I can still access it through the Start Menu.
Also, the Dell Audio program has reappeared in the Control Panel. DougNienhuis Replied on August 7, Also, the Dell Audio audiomx disappeared from Control Panel completely.
XPS 15 9550 – Do not use Dell’s MaxxAudioPro Preset!
I went to the Device Manager and Selected Sound, video and game controllers. There is still no equalizer there and I don’t really know why I need this Del, Audio program, but it doesn’t seem to hurt anything.
I also have all the various automatic update and monitoring things turned on. I have no idea what device it installed and there is now an “Unknown Device” with an exclamation mark listed in Device Manager. The Windows 10 driver does work.
